GreenTropism FRENCH SPECIALIST IN SPECTROSCOPY RAISES 1.2 MILLION EUROS TO BOOST ITS GROWTH

Paris, France – 27/07/2017. After a first seed capital outlay of €350.000 in 2015, GreenTropism has successfully completed a new fund-raising campaign with 1.2 million euros from Heptagon, the Swiss industrial micro-optics specialist, the French investment fund A Plus Finance, and several professional angels through the investors MySeedCap and Telecom Booster.

Founded in April 2014 by Anthony Boulanger, a young researcher with a PhD in biostatistics, GreenTropism has been developing a new generation of embedded spectral analysis software, for both consumer products and industrial processes, that will identify and analyse, with unequalled precision, all types of material using its own machine learning algorithms. It is applicable across a broad range of sectors: agrifood, environment, automobile, cosmetics and consumer electronics.

Our algorithms and software embedded in new-generation spectrometers, for both consumer products and industrial processes, can make light speak in all circumstances, and instantly unlock the secrets of materials,” explains Anthony Boulanger, CEO and founder of GreenTropism, “The support of our investors will help us boost our development effort to supply major French and international groups.

Guillaume Girard, Associate Director at A Plus Finance declares:

We are delighted to be with GreenTropism in this new stage in its development. This young team’s unparalleled dynamism and expertise, which enables them to deploy new software solutions for machine learning in spectroscopy, their ability to address key markets such as the safety of health products or anti-counterfeit measures, and their success with top industrial operators are so many major assets that will ensure strong growth for GreenTropism, and a first class position in the marketplace.”

This new funding will enable GreenTropism to extend its team of R&D specialists and amplify its development effort in response to major international clients in Europe and Asia.
