GreenTropism is a French startup founded in 2014 specialized in software publishing and software components for mainstream and industrial spectroscopy. We conceive data analysis algorithms dedicated to several applications in material control or contamination detection.
Our field of expertise covers a wide spectrum of opportunities in numerous markets: human and veterinary diagnostics, wastewater and bathing water surveillance, as well as Industry 4.0 applications in bioproduction, cosmetics, environment and pharmaceuticals.

The GreenTropism team is built around expertise in spectrometry, Artificial Intelligence (Chemometrics, Machine Learning, Deep Learning), signal processing, microbiology, biochemistry, software development and industrialization.
GreenTropism also relies on partnerships with academic and private research institutes. The company counts several large international groups among its clients.

Roland Carbonnel
CEO
Graduated in marketing and communications EFAP Lyon 1983. Roland has a long-lasting experience in the pharmaceutical and diagnostic industry including more than 20 years at Pharmacia-Pfizer and
in international groups such as DuPontPharma-BMS, Theradiag or Hycor Biomedical, where he held several marketing, commercial and executive management positions. He was, prior to joining GreenTropism, General Manager France of Hycor Biomedical.
Anthony Boulanger
CTO
Gratuated from AgroParisTech engineering school and with a PhD in Biostatistics, Anthony started his carreer at Veolia group (Euronext : VIE, NYSE : VE) taking the responsability of the R&D for the near infrared spectroscopy and the command & control systems for the anaerobic digestion. His extensive work about real-time analysis of bioprocesses for transforming organic waste to energy and his research on spectroscopy systems adapted to these challenges, has shaped his vision on new domains that could benefit from these technologies and have incited him to found GreenTropism in 2014.

Dr MARION SCHMITT-BOULANGER
CSO
Marion Schmitt-Boulanger holds a Master’s degree in Biology, Physiology and Cardiovascular Physiopathology from the University of Paris-Cité. Passionate about innovation, Marion joined GreenTropism in September 2020 as a CSO to bring her practitioner’s perspective on R&D and diagnostic products.
CléMENT GALVAIN
CFO
Clément joined GreenTropism as CFO in January 2021. With an engineering background (Arts et Métiers ParisTech, Georgia Institute of Technology), he has nearly 10 years of experience in corporate finance. He started in 2012 in the Valuation and Financial Modeling teams of EY in Paris, before joining Accuracy at the end of 2014, working mainly on consulting in equity transactions. In 2018, he joined Natural Grass as CFO and accompanied the company’s growth from €3m to €15m in turnover and participated in the creation of its subsidiaries in Algeria and Spain.
DAN NEWMAN
CHAIRMAN
Dan received an MBA from F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and a BS in Financial Management from Northeastern University. He also serves as Chairman of 6WIND, Operating Partner at Jolt Capital, and Managing Partner at Cross Atlantic Advisory. Prior to co-Founding Cross Atlantic, he worked for several international strategy consulting firms. He brings more than 35 years of experience working within a range of technology companies including hardware, software, and medical devices in the US, France and Israel.
